The Rev. Ethan J Cole, Rector

A lifelong Episcopalian, the Rev Ethan J. Cole is a native of Western New York. He attended Hobart College (’00) and Harvard Divinity School (’04). After being ordained in 2004, he served churches in the Buffalo area before moving to Southwest Florida in 2014. Most recently he has served as Canon for Congregational Life at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter in St. Petersburg. Having served as a missionary in South Africa and Uganda as a seminarian, he has a focus on mission and outreach. Preaching, pastoral care, and bible studies are particular ministerial focuses for Ethan, seeking to connect people with the transforming love of Christ. He believes that the church is called to be open, inclusive, and welcoming to all people, and that the church has a responsibility to be an agent for good in the community. Ethan’s personal interests include nature and hiking, birds and wildlife, travel, reading, and fitness, 12 Step spirituality, and a good cup of coffee.

Liz Curry

Office Administrator

Liz is a St. Petersburg native and lifelong Episcopalian. She graduated from Western Carolina University and then worked the front desk at The Grove Park Inn before moving back to St. Pete in 1987. For 18 years Liz worked as a Travel Agent at Destinations Everywhere Travel Agency. In January of 2006, she began working as Parish Administrator of St. Bartholomew’s. While she continues in that position, St. Bart’s shares her services with both St. Giles Episcopal Church in Pinellas Park, and St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg.

Travis Evans

Minister of Music

After calling St. Louis, Missouri home for more than 20 years he moved to St Petersburg in early 2022. During his time in St. Louis he served on the faculty at St. Charles Community College, the University of Missouri - St. Louis and Lindenwood University. In addition to his academic work,  he has also held positions as a church musician, a career that he started at the age of 16.

He holds a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) where he studied both organ and composition with Dr. Barbara Harbach, and a Masters of Music in Organ Performance from Webster University in St. Louis where he studied with William Partridge, Canon Precentor at Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis.

 He has been a guest speaker  at the American Guild of Organists January Jubilee, the Missouri Choral Directors Association and was a member of  the faculty for the UMSL Summer Keyboard camp. He volunteered on a grant advisory panel for the Missouri Arts Council for the State of Missouri and has had music published by Paraclete Press.

Dana Green, RN

Faith Community Nurse

Dana was called to nursing after a career in the US Navy where she achieved the rank of Lieutenant. Dana worked her way through nursing school as a nurse’s aide giving her hands on experience with patient care.

While Dana worked as an operating room nurse she was an active member of the congregation at Trinity Episcopal Church in Asbury Park, NJ and was the Nurse for The Diocese of NJ Youth events for several years.  Her faith is very strong and feels that God has guided her on a path in life with light and love

Dana moved to FL in 2019. She loves the outdoors, especially hiking in nature preserves and botanical gardens. wildlife photography is a passion and she has been on safari in Africa several times.  She also enjoys kayaking, travel, and anything to do with live theater.
